Dear Leader, please listen to the children

19 Dec

The daily post today: if the Government accomplishes one thing in 2013 what would it be?

Dear Leader,

Despite the youth of today being the workforce of tomorrow, my one wish would be for you to listen to their cries.

SEN students will struggle, when the GCSE exams are restructured in 2014. They will walk away from school with little or or qualifications because you are also axing work based qualifications in favour of a memory tests style exam like the ones I did when I was at school.

How will that help people who want to be plumbers, builders, hairdressers, electricians?

Dear leader

Please reconsider your odd decisions to sell off the schools disguising it as academy conversions.

Please reconsider your decision to get rid of coursework completely in favour of an O level style exam that proves very little, other than who can remember what.

Please reconsider your decision to cut special needs funding

Pease put the ‘Great’ back in Great Britain and do not make it a conservative elitist education system, make it a fully inclusive one where ever child matters.

I don’t feel like that is the case any more.
