imageI am a special needs teacher. I have been teaching for 15 years, although I started out as a music teacher. A little boy was brought into my tutor group one day, and he changed my life. I became very aware of how so many children got a raw deal from the mainstream secondary education system, as many were square pegs trying to fit into round holes.

This started me on a journey into special needs teaching where I have met some truly incredible children. I now teach autistic children in a special school.

It is a very special journey.

My mother has a very similar path through teaching, starting off in remedial education then going back into mainstream, then satellite classes, and now teaching autistic children in a special school. Looking forward to following your blog and reading more!
